Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 8 will be out later this week and I can’t remember if I’ve given a heads up on what to expect. I’ll put it frankly though: no Katayoku no Tori. But do we really want Exit Trance to touch that? They have improved lately. Well hell, I misread! Actually, I skipped it. I was skimming the list and saw it! Now I’m both terrifiyed and excited! They have a newbie singer preforming it… ehhh… at least not Latte right? We have to look forward to are Canaan’s ‘Mind of Judgement’, Pandora Heart’s ‘Parallel Hearts’, Saki’s ‘Glossy:MMM’, Bakemonogatari’s ‘Stable Staple’, Tales of Abyss’s ‘Karma’, Eden of the East’s ‘Futuristic Imagination’, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei’s ‘Super Scription of Data’, and Ghost in the Shell’s ‘Inner Universe’. I know there are two Kanameno and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu tracks as well. I’m also not 100% sure on Karma and Inner Universe. They don’t sound like common titles though.
Jeez, now I’m a little excited.
Also, thank you to Quake Records for finally putting the illustrators names on the album pages. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
I planned to work on Loli Salad all weekend, starting tonight. I’m not doing much besides taking Princess loli-Leia (my sister) trick or treating tomorrow and possibly watching some scary movies tonight. So I plan to do a few things around here. But as usual twitter and Nightbug Creations distracted me. I plan on writing up a few reviews (starting with theat Anime House IOSYS thing) and looking at some new plugins, possibly. I’m also planning on starting to make a directory page of all the album reviews, sorted by artist. But that’s just what I want to do. Instead of doing it, I’m sitting here telling you what I want to do. So I’ll go work on that right now. (Actually, I started writing this at six. Six hours later and I haven’t even finished this post.)
Bricks were shat. (I used much, much more obscene language in my surprise tweet, really) I mean I’m always up for a Sorairo Days remix but when I heard the vocals, my jaw dropped. I mean this video was uploaded in August (around the time of the Albatrosicks review here on Loli Salad) so it’s nothing new. But I hadn’t even heard IOSYS had done an anime album! You can bet there will be a review of this album in the near future. It doesn’t sound great but it’s miko. MIKO. I’m actually reminded of the early Exit Trance stuff (which the new instalment should be out soon, right? I hope I’m not behind…) but that Sorairo Days was good. Meh. Exit Trance never had miko (or ARM for that matter, since he produced this remix)! So I’ll give this darned album a shot! Look forward to it~
EDIT: they have Katagiri Rekka doing a version of Tori no Uta? I think I foamed at the mouth a little. In a good way! Next you’ll be telling me REDALiCE helps out too!
Well not very short. And there isn’t anything to delay. I’ve just been caught up with a lot of things and don’t have as much time for Loli Salad. Keep in mind that I already explained I didn’t think LS would make it to three years. Speaking of which, I missed another LS anniversary. It was our second full year. A little more productive and steady than the first. This weekend I will have something special planned. something to make up for neglecting the blog so. Please look forward to it.
I’ve actually been back for a day now but for those who don’t follow me on Twitter know, I was off on vacation to Vancouver. While I know it may be egotistical to both come out of hiding to make a post about herself and a post on showing off things she got (at that) but I’m doing it anyways. Because I’m just so thrilled with my haul.
This is also probably a good chance to point out that the trickling out of posts is bound to continue. Even if I just ever so lazily pop in for an Exit Trance review (which comes out when, exactly?) that might be the best you get. Although I would really love to do a quick review of Maid War Chronicle and following this will be a very, very special shout out.
This post will be image heavy. You’ve been warned sorta.
We have here a blog that has compiled all of the Umineko releases at C76. Which is becoming increasingly better sounding. You can find the full article here: http://shiba.dtiblog.com/blog-entry-693.html. Let’s just peek at some upcoming albums here. I’ll try to post demos and album covers lead to the website of the album if they have one specifically.
CT/Luck Ganriki already released an album like this featuring tracks from the episodes earlier. This is essentially the same except with some new tracks such as Birth of the New Witch (which I for one am enthralled with) and Happy Maria -BAND ARRANGE- which is, brace yourself, a rock version of Happy Maria. It actually sounds crazy badass even if Maria sounds like Saki from Onechanbara at the begining of the demo. This album will be worth just these two tracks.
I don’t know much about this album but I’m pretty sure it isn’t all Umineko no Naku Koro ni. From the demo, what I could identify and tracklist though sounds great. Some of the faster tracks in the original OST are slower and therefore much creepier, if that makes sense. Since the music from the series is already so strange, making it creepier is a great task. Anyways, a very big album at two disks and roughly 35 tracks. In fact, listening to the demo made me go back and look at their other works. That must be saying something, right?
Musicbox Blue and Red is the release of most of the game tracks by Dai and ZTS. Tons of new albums are released and if you visit the site you can see them. They are the tracks with asterisks beside their names (on the Red Musicbox anyways). If you don’t already have the OST tracks this will be something worth checking out.
Expect a review for the first volume very shortly. When they sing is a series about… well the series being sung. I don’t know how much Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is involved. Apparently this features everything from Symphony, Jazz, Rock and Techno so it should have something for everyone. A symphony version of Happy Maria? There isn’t a demo but I doubt it’ll be as awesome as the rock version. There is also a track called Nice Beat. It’s lulzy sounding.
Observer -witch who lives- is an album from Pre-Holder. I believe it contains most of the game tracks (they sounded the same to me) but Pre-Holder does a lot of the great music from the series so that’s okay. Actually, listening to the demo for 終焉_VerC is different with creepy laughing and some of that demonic chanting. So it’ll be even more worth a listen if you aren’t into hearing the same music twice.
That is only some of the Umineko no Naku Koro ni music being released so there is lots to look forward to. I’ll try to cover as much as I can here on Loli Salad but it depends how available this becomes. I might not be around during Comiket unless the weather is really crappy.
So, as you might guess I am ecstatic. I just found out after briefly glancing at the list of all circles with tables at C76 when I saw ALTERNAIT. Well I did backflips. Something unsual this time too. Still Umineko related (although I was hoping for something original). I was under the impression, with many I suppose, that they would not release an album as they had released the EP4 album in May. This new song will cover all four eps as opposed to just one. The album itself will include the videos from the past motion graphics (and we can assume the songs as well). As usual, despite my love of the group and the song, I don’t have a great initial impression. The song and the video will be crazy awesome. Count on it.
So I had planned to lay in bed until five thirty-ish until I somehow got this song in my head. Even though my Shuffle was on the desk beside me, it forced me to get out of bed just to listen to this song. No, the full isn’t out yet. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get the Erinyes treatment and sounds completely different. Tabi no Tochuu was especially great because it sounded like we expected.
At first, I didn’t like this song nowhere near as much as Natsumi Kiyoura’s Tabi no Tochuu, the original opening to Spice and Wolf. I might have been disappointed that Kiyoura wasn’t doing the opening again. It was the series you could associate her with. As I caught up on Spice and Wolf II, after a couple weeks of no internet, the opening began to change before me. In constrast with Horo’s depressing breakdown? I hate to say it but Mitsu no Yoake holds much more emotion than Tabi no Tochuu. It reflects the new season perfectly. So far, while the economic action has been in swing for the last episode, there has been more attention on developing the characters. As you can guess, Horo and Lawrence’s relationship. Which the song and video reflects. From them dancing, in the festival or in their room to the end where they simply grab hands. Ahhh, sorry rambling.
The single for Mitsu no Yoake by Akino Arai comes out August 5th. If that is incorrect, please correct me. Unfortunately, I’ll probably be back at home and therefore away from interweb. If I am around I will post the song faster than you can say Horo.
Now if you excuse me, I’m going to see when the next episode comes out.
Loli Salad will be undergoing some changes tonight so we’ll be down for awhile. At the latest, the site should be back up by Sunday evening. Hopefully it will be done tonight. For full details, visit the notes page.
