miko+Resurrection – Sorairo Days

Bricks were shat. (I used much, much more obscene language in my surprise tweet, really) I mean I’m always up for a Sorairo Days remix but when I heard the vocals, my jaw dropped. I mean this video was uploaded in August (around the time of the Albatrosicks review here on Loli Salad) so it’s nothing new. But I hadn’t even heard IOSYS had done an anime album! You can bet there will be a review of this album in the near future. It doesn’t sound great but it’s miko. MIKO. I’m actually reminded of the early Exit Trance stuff (which the new instalment should be out soon, right? I hope I’m not behind…) but that Sorairo Days was good. Meh. Exit Trance never had miko (or ARM for that matter, since he produced this remix)! So I’ll give this darned album a shot! Look forward to it~

EDIT: they have Katagiri Rekka doing a version of Tori no Uta? I think I foamed at the mouth a little. In a good way! Next you’ll be telling me REDALiCE helps out too!

Umineko Motion Graphic 5 info

So, as you might guess I am ecstatic. I just found out after briefly glancing at the list of all circles with tables at C76 when I saw ALTERNAIT. Well I did backflips. Something unsual this time too. Still Umineko related (although I was hoping for something original). I was under the impression, with many I suppose, that they would not release an album as they had released the EP4 album in May. This new song will cover all four eps as opposed to just one. The album itself will include the videos from the past motion graphics (and we can assume the songs as well). As usual, despite my love of the group and the song, I don’t have a great initial impression. The song and the video will be crazy awesome. Count on it.

Spice and Wolf II OP – Mitsu no Yoake

So I had planned to lay in bed until five thirty-ish until I somehow got this song in my head. Even though my Shuffle was on the desk beside me, it forced me to get out of bed just to listen to this song. No, the full isn’t out yet. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get the Erinyes treatment and sounds completely different. Tabi no Tochuu was especially great because it sounded like we expected.

At first, I didn’t like this song nowhere near as much as Natsumi Kiyoura’s Tabi no Tochuu, the original opening to Spice and Wolf. I might have been disappointed that Kiyoura wasn’t doing the opening again. It was the series you could associate  her with. As I caught up on Spice and Wolf II, after a couple weeks of no internet, the opening began to change before me. In constrast with Horo’s depressing breakdown? I hate to say it but Mitsu no Yoake holds much more emotion than Tabi no Tochuu. It reflects the new season perfectly. So far, while the economic action has been in swing for the last episode, there has been more attention on developing the characters. As you can guess, Horo and Lawrence’s relationship. Which the song and video reflects. From them dancing, in the festival or in their room to the end where they simply grab hands. Ahhh, sorry rambling.

The single for Mitsu no Yoake by Akino Arai comes out August 5th. If that is incorrect, please correct me. Unfortunately, I’ll probably be back at home and therefore away from interweb. If I am around I will post the song faster than you can say Horo.

Now if you excuse me, I’m going to see when the next episode comes out.

Miracle∞Gumiracle

I don’t really have any other reason for posting this other than, as you might know, I really love Hina. This is the only song of Gumi that has got my attention. I probably would have ignored it if it wasn’t Hina related. I just have to remark though: Megpoid is really amazing! compared to MEIKO or even Miku? She sounds totally realistic! Personally, this version sounds better than the original too.

End of the Golden Witch/EP5 OP

I was going to do a post on Portrait Girl a few days ago but this is TOO good. At first I was surprised to see that Shikata-sama wasn’t coming back. So I did a big no. I’ll do it again. NOOOOOOOOOOO. But that’s okay. Because this is great. Young Beato? That on it’s own… There’s so much here that needs awnsering! Can it be August yet?! Ahh, I’ll leave it to you Witch-Hunt! We know you’ll be hooking it the fans up in no time. But no pressure, right? Hehe.

In case you didn’t know, this will be the first of the awnser arcs. I don’t know what else to tell you. The new title is Umineko no Naku Koro ni San and is now When They Cry 4. The title does seem misleading though.

ALTERNAIT – Archive Omoide OP

I had this video sitting in my Documents for so long I couldn’t find the website for the game. Took forever to find it. So I gave it a look last week and was surprised as soon as I heard the vocals. Niira Etsuko is pretty remarkable, right? The art is clearly Cosmic*Comic/Ico so another Riff*Raff production ala the original Higurashi Motion Graphic (the art is remincisnt anyways). Worth a look at a different side of ALTERNAIT. Now go update your site, please guys!

I know this is a little old but I only found it now. Double Lariat is always listenable, right? Besides, imagining Nia singing this is just to cute. All the more reason we need a idol PV for Nia like we got for Yoko. Amirite?!

Umineko Motion Graphic 4 Translation/EP Full Patch

Two sorta big Umineko posts here. I was supposed to review the other new (there were a few..) Exit Trance albums but I had to rage about the Umineko anime. So let’s do this before I rage here on LS, okay?

Someone over on livejournal translated the latest Umineko no Naku Koro ni Motion Graphic (the text/lines, not the song) and then added the notes into the video! I’d beware there’s some thinly masked spoilers. But if you’re already browsing Loli Salad you should be used to Umineko spoilers. I plan on creating a complete list of spoilers, plot twists and things you shouldn’t know before you watch the anime. But I’m very bitter about the anime. So. Yeah.

Episode Four has been fully translated by Witch-Hunt! I know I’m a bit late but I figure it’s worth sharing. You can find the patch over on Witch-Hunt’s site. I’m looking forward to playing myself!
