Great Big Vocaloid MP3 Post

This is what I spoke of earlier. The surprise. Well it isn’t much of anything. The download part of this post, aside from being a hit grabber *slapped*, is to test the new player. It isn’t very new. I’ve seen it on various blogs from Elbo.ws many times and always wanted to try it out here but never remembered to save it and use it for a later date. But now I can take the suggestions and put up a song or two from the albums I review! That should be great, right?

So without further ado, have some Vocaloid MP3s as a thank you for two great years! I don’t know if we’ll make it to three but I think that would be really cool. So thank you to everyone who has watched this blog grow and change from it’s silly beginning.

Short Delay

Well not very short. And there isn’t anything to delay. I’ve just been caught up with a lot of things and don’t have as much time for Loli Salad. Keep in mind that I already explained I didn’t think LS would make it to three years. Speaking of which, I missed another LS anniversary. It was our second full year. A little more productive and steady than the first. This weekend I will have something special planned. something to make up for neglecting the blog so. Please look forward to it.

Maid War Chronicle Vol. 1 + 2 Review

To be honest, I might have only seen the first volume in stores casually and has an interest because it had maid in the title. But even if it was for that same reason that I saw it was on the Del Ray website (I was just interested in when Yozakura Quarted Volume 5 came out. It’s September) but I had time to be excited.

I haven’t really reviewed manga before but this sounded fun so if this goes well I’ll do it again or maybe go onto doing stuff I already have. I’m just never doing a long-winded review again. But man I do love me some Princess Resurrection. I wish I was reading it right now.

Wherein I Gush: Phoenix Comics

Well, the price gap didn’t go away. Which sucks. But you know what hasn’t changed (and is awesome)? My love for Phoenix Comics! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go browse this old post.

Phoenix Comics has two locations in Calgary (to the best of my knowledge). I’ve only ever been to the one along the trans-Canada highway so I can only gush about that one but it is a dream of mine to visit the other one (clearly my ambitions are not very high). It is as the title says, a comic store. I haven’t been in an actual comic store before so I can’t really compare that aspect of the store. I have, however been to many manga stores. Nothing I have ever seen (well, nothing carrying English manga atleast) compares to the basement of Phoenix Comics. But maybe that’s just based off what we have here. I mean it’s not like I’m a specialist on this thing. It is such a breathtaking sight, wall to wall manga, many (imo) hard to find. I mean I pretty much go to Vancouver every year and the stop in Calgary is one of (if not barely just) the highlight of my trip. Considering I make my whole family stop (and go wait at Tim Horton’s or whatever) just for me to run in and impossibly try to pick some stuff out. But I’ll stop gushing for now. I’ll try.

A few quick snapshots below. They don’t really do the place justice though. I mean I got the first volume of Aria for under $4.00!  $4.00!

Where I’ve Been, What I’ve Got

I’ve actually been back for a day now but for those who don’t follow me on Twitter know, I was off on vacation to Vancouver. While I know it may be egotistical to both come out of hiding to make a post about herself and a post on showing off things she got (at that) but I’m doing it anyways. Because I’m just so thrilled with my haul.

This is also probably a good chance to point out that the trickling out of posts is bound to continue. Even if I just ever so lazily pop in for an Exit Trance review (which comes out when, exactly?) that might be the best you get. Although I would really love to do a quick review of Maid War Chronicle and following this will be a very, very special shout out.

This post will be image heavy. You’ve been warned sorta.
