The Massacre

I love Hanyuu!! I'd take a bullet for auauau~

Riiiiight after School Days, eh? Afraid of being out shined? Since kai started I was worried about one scene making me cry. Did it? Well read on to find out…

I’m not going to go into deep description about this because there are much better blogs blogging this. So let’s get straight to the part everyone cares about…

Anyways. This episode was the best and saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Seeing Keiichi, Rena, Mion and Shion kick total ass….well. It was just awesome. Better than Katsura going AWOL.

You can’t help but hate and love Takano. i mean I have a friend who adores Tomitake to no end and she hates Takano for very obvious reasons. But man she is a jerk. But you also can’t help but feel bad for her. Don’t understand what I mean? Just wait for the next episode…

So Keiichi, Rena and the twins beat up Takano’s ‘competent’ goons. It’s really epic too. Mion is so badass, she doesn’t even need a freaking weapon. But Rena holding onto her hat when she slashes the guy with her trusty hatchet was just too great.

While there is lots of RenaXKeiichi (YES!) there is alot of KeiichiXMion. But that’s okay because their both as equally sad.

I was worried Keiichi’s death would be saddest. But it wasn’t. But the whole RenaXKeiichiXMion moment was pretty sad. It doesn’t even stop. It gets sadder. I knew it would. But you know what’ll be sadder? When Hanyuu gets ‘shot’.

Mion’s death was also very sad. Then it was Rena’s. But neither Mion, Rena or Keiichi’s were as sad as those to follow. Which is surprising really. But I honestly have alot more respect for all of the characters because of this little incident. I really wish people would stop saying that Higurashi is about them going crazy and killing each other because even though on some level that is true, there is alot of emotional and psychological value to be found in this series that I think is just overlooked.

Up until this point I hadn’t been feeling to bad for Rika. I mean you have to feel bad for her because she’s gone through this like a hundred times. But then I start to feel bad for her and Hanyuu. Poor Hanyuu. She has to feel the same pain that Rika does. So Rika must be burdened with that in her death. But before Takano cuts poor Rika up Rika is visited by her dead friends and Hanyuu. That was pretty sad. So now they’re together and it’s alright to feel sad for Rika again.

But you see….Takano could never truly be one my favorite characters. Anybody who calls my beloved Hanyuu a monster…well…they just don’t deserve life, now do they? Oh yeah and the whole Hitler thing. I guess that’s a turn-off in a character as well…
