Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 2

Code Speed Anime Trance 2

Ohmahgawd.

(First of all, thanks to DJTomoe for pointing this out to me. I didn’t even know there was a 2 and 3.)

  1. Genesis of Aquarion (Genesis of Aquarion)
Oh yes, Genesis again. I’m not complaining the original Genesis of Aquarion/Sousei no Aqaurion may be the very best song in the history of anime. But it is not the best remix I’ve heard of this song (and I’ve heard ALOT). For this CD, it’s exceptional.
  2. Critias no Kiba (Yu-Gi-Oh)
Oh how very normal, don’t you think? But I suppose I don’t like it as much because I’m not famillar with this song. Oh well. Still pretty fun to listen too.
  3. Yuki, Muon, Madobenite (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)
Going into this song I was thinking: this is a hard song to remix properly. And it is. This version sounds so different that I would not have been able to recognize it if I wasn’t aware of it at first. It’s pretty catchy if you listen to it enough times.
  4. Naraku no Hana (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai)
I’ve seen this song remixed badly and I was scared this would suck bad too. It isn’t as good as the original Higurashi remix but it does have it’s moments. It’s beatter than the Bastard Pop Terrorists one anyways. They could have atleast tried to find a singer who sounded like Shimamiya.
  5. Nowhere (Madlax)
This song is so popular among NicoNico, right? It sounds badass, I’ll admit. But this remix is terrible for this song. They could have tried for something a little more fitting,
  6. First Kiss (Zero no Tsukaima)
This is THE track. This is it right here. The saving grace. The song I was looking forward to the most. And by god, it was worth it! It’s candy sweet at the begining and the vocals are IM@S-tastic! Seriously, can’t you imagine Haruka, Chihaya and Azusa singing this? It’s my favorite song on this album by far.
  7. Hemisphere (Rahxephon)
This is one of my favorite on and off this album. It’s such a dramatic song and I think that’s great. This remix emphases that well unlike others (I’m thinking of you, Nowhere). This is my second favorite track (tied actually with song 19).
  8. Wind Climbing ~ Kaze Ni Asobarete (Doki Doki Densetsu Mahoujin Guru Guru)
I’ve never heard this song before but it was pretty catchy. Maybe I should look up the original?
  9. Lucky Star BGM (Lucky*Star)
This doesn’t sound like a remix at first but who cares? It’s damn cute and reminds me more of Mario than ever before. This song is perfectly perfect for Lucky Star super-freaks. It even makes me go into death-by-moe mode.
  10. Hito Toshite Jiku Ga Bureteiru (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei)
The guy sounds like he’s singing underwater! Haha, that made me laugh. The girl parts are cute. This takes a way different direction from the original. This one is so peppy and spunky and punchy. That’s not a bad thing though. That’s great.
  11. Koi No Mikuru Densetsu (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)
Legend of the greatest Koi no Mikuru Densetsu remix ever. Ever.
  12. Kiiroi Vacation (Pani Poni Dash)
PPD remixes? DO FUCKING WANT. There are to few of these and the songs are so very remixable. This one is exceptional (because we have only the original to compare too). The remixes sound very Becky-y. So I approve.
  13. Yuujou Monogatari (Inukami)
If it weren’t for the cutesy vocals, I’d say this was a loss. It has the Mario-styled parts going through lots of the song and that works well (especially because that was my favorite part).
  14. Yuukyou Seishunka (Code Geass)
Wryyyyyyyyyyyy. Why must the Ali (Koneko, I’m assuming they did Seishoujo Ryouiki too?) Project songs not have any vocals. This, without vocals, is quite possibly the most badass song on this album. The original song (despite being devout to Ali Project) sucked. Bad. This was epic (as far as CSAT goes).
  15. Arashi No Naka De Kagayaite (Gundam 08th MSTeam)
I haven’t heard this song, 08th was too hold for my liking, but this song is pretty cool. Not as cool as track 8.
  16. Tank! (Cowboy Bebop)
Now this seems like a real remix. I never watched all of Cowboy Bebop (how is this relevant?) but this song is cool. I can’t think of anything else to say about it. It’s…just normal.
  17. Give a Reason (Slayers Next)
Again, too old for me. But this song in this remix alone is pretty cool. It’s dramatic and badass. I know the series is not dramatic but t does give me mixed feelings! Which? I dunno except that this song is one of the best, easily, from this album.
  18. Agape (UFO Princess Warukyure)
For the series this song belongs mellow. They do a good job of…unsaddening it but you can only do so much. This song has a lot of good their inserted beats and instrumentals. That’s good because the vocals are way too quiet in this one. Didn’t we have this problem on the last album??
  19. Silly-Go-Round (.hack//ROOTS)
Another fave. How can you not like it? It’s so unlike the rest. It has some amount of effort I’d think. That siren-y sound is annoying at first but like damn, it grew on me.
  20. Komm, Susser Tod (Evangelion)
My dislike of Eva makes this song unbearable. So no comment and I know that’s awful.

Fang’s Rating: 8 ½/10

This is one of the very few albums I like to listen over and over.

I think I should get a good listen out of it. I would have reviewed it sooner but as I said, I was unaware of it. XD

I think I’d like the third more but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I especially want to hear Innocent Starter (even if I was partial to their Eternal Blaze), Joint, Dramatic, Go Tight!, 1000% Sparking!, Ojamajo Carnival, Douwa Meikyuu but most of all Virgin’s High!

Oh! Oh! Oh! Just listing them makes me despair over not finding the album!

At first I thought that Genesis of Aquarion is the same as the previous album, but after I listen to it do I realised it’s the English vocal version, since there’s a Japanese and English of the original too.
