MGX, Jormungand Final Impressions and AX Blurb

I would have liked to write a bit more about AX but I didn’t really do much so I can’t really. I went for all four days but all we did was shop. I spent about upwards of $600 on the first day alone though everyone advised me to wait until day four to buy stuff. Actually though I hardly saw much of a price difference on day four. Nothing I wanted was on sale though. Besides shopping I did go to the Kajiura/FictionJunction concert. I absolutely adored it but I’ve been in love with her music ever since I first saw .hack//SIGN years and years ago so it goes without saying. The only panel I had set my sights on was the Chihayafuru/Madhouse panel but due to a mix up I didn’t get to go and I was really upset about that.

Since I only watched two shows this season (and I barely kept up with them) Im not really going to write any final impressions about them. I’ve already talked about my issues with Mysterious Girlfriend X so go back and read that. I will add that instead of critizing his attitude and behaviour, I should first address the fact that he is a guy who licked the drool of some girl he barely even knew. His problems started waaaaay before where I started complaining.

I loved Jormungand. It wasn’t what I expected and it wasn’t very impressive but it was entertaining in it’s own special way. The characters were all kind of interesting, even if they weren’t fleshed out. The way they interacted and worked together was what I did like. I also loved the music. I pretty much always love Iwasaki’s OSTs. Time to Attack (the Loco Koko song) is especially fun. I will be waiting warmly for S2. My fear that it will have a really stupid, Jonah-kills-Koko ending has long died down. Still, I do hope for something dramatic to happen.

It’s a shame I didn’t really meet up with anybody from twitter. I really wish I had.

I was surprised that they didn’t have many discounts on day 4. I did manage to find a few though and got a couple of artbooks for half the price.
