Comparitivly, the best out of all the Exit Trance anime trance series. On it’s own? It still rocks.
- Triangle (Macross Frontier)
The only song I’ve ever liked from MF was Don’t Be Late. Which really made me want to get ahold of this album when I heard that song was on it. But unlike track three, this still holds the original suck of Triangle. However, it’s listenable because of how they’ve spiced their beats up. It isn’t so annoyingly repetive. I mean I understand trance but there has to be a limit, right? Right? Luckily, this song does a good job of showing that is true. Actually, most of the songs feel like just trance-y covers rather than remixes. They’re really good though.
- Romantic Summer (Seto no Hanayome)
The vocals on this remind me of MOSAIC.WAV for some reason. But for that same reason… I’m turned away. The background music is great but the vocals rip your hearing away from that and back to Ma15 wretching vocals.
- 射手座☆午後九時Don’t be late (Macross Frontier)
This song MADE me have to download this (but I swear, I’d buy it in a heartbeat if I had cash) even though I was looking for YOU remixes (of Shuffle!) on NicoNico (by the way, am I the only one who doesn’t like the new look? I mean I was having flash problems with the old one… it’s not bad though. I’ll get used to it). The vocals are really nice and stronger than the background music, which isn’t nearly as entrancing (see what I did there?) as Triangle was. But for the record, Don’t Be Late is a faaaar superior song to Triangle, originally. Just like how Sheryl is supperior to Ranka, amiright? That’ll get me some hate won’t it? Wow… this comment got derailed soooo many time.
- Wild Eyes (Basilisk)
I don’t think that is the name of the track. I don’t know I’ve never watched Basilisk. All I know is that the original was without a doubt by Nana Mizuki. I don’t much care for the track even though it’s got a cool rockish sci-fi feel to it. Something about it…
- I SAY YES (Zero no Tsukaima)
I’m just waiting for ‘You’re the One!’ because First Kiss was awesome. This is an improvement definatly though. This whole album is. Atleast I think so.
- 02 (Code Geass R2)
One of my favorite tracks! I love 02 but the spoken/rappish part always turns me away so I end up never fully listening to it. Atleast in this version they manage to merge that into like… background vocals. I think I like the vocals better than I do with the Orange Range one but it might be the same, the background music just making it sound a little better.
- Katayoku no Ikarosu (H2O: Footprints in the Sand)
One of the rare tracks I dislike. But only because I hate the original so much (I’m sorry Sakakibara~ra D:)
- Dancing in the Velvet Moon (Rosario + Vampire)
This sounds alot like Nana Mizuki. Which is kinda sad because it’s Kana. I like CAMRY and Ma15 best but Kana is okay. Her Nana Mizuki is usually spot on. So I’ll approve of this.
- Akatsuki no Kuruma (Gundam Seed Destiny)
I think this is my favorite. It’s sooooo better than the original. I never really watched GSD except for when I turned the tv on once and it was on and that chick who looked like Cagalli… er… Stella was it? When she died. That was pretty hardcore. But this song is awesome. A perfect mix of dramu and trance. What could be better?
- why, or why not (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)
I was kinda worried because when I first heard this I couldn’t tell if it were in english. It’s kinda like Virgin’s High where you hear hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and you can’t make out what they’re saying. But for the good of the engrish ad the lulz, good enough.
- Secret Ambition (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS)
My favorite of all their Nanoha remixes. This one is awesome because they put the chorus at the begining and kinda mix it up, unlike the other tracks. This song itself in this form would be perfect for any sci-fi anime EXCEPT Nanoha though I’m thinking.
- YOU (Shuffle!)
This is what lead me to this album. I really like it. Because it reminds me of old 90’s styled trance-dance songs you’d hear on the radio. The BGM anyways. I always think it’s KANA instead of CAMRY though. But they sort of have a difference when CAMRY tries to sing higher. Hmmm…
- Shooting Star (Onegai Teacher)
I never watched OT or had much of a liking for KOTOKO. The BGM for this song is super lame. It would have been better left un… tranced.
- Clover (Solty Rei)
Kinda reminds me of the Sorairo Days song they did awhile ago. A good enough remix, but better left alone. This one how ever does not turn into an eroge op. It just turns into a plain boring song. CAMRY needs to deliever a more consistant sound. Some of this song is great with her vocals and but the other parts suck.
- dis- (Infinite RYVIUS)
I really like the begining of this one but I start getting confused when they try singing over each other. It reminds me of that opening for that Touhou RPG thing (or w/e?) in some of the vocals. I ended up looking this song after hearing it. That’s a sign of a good remix, imo.
- Boukoku Kakusei Katarushisu (.hack//ROOTS)
I can’t wait for the next album so Koneko Project can do Waga Routashi Aku no Hana. I’m sure that will be their next song. Y’know hwta fuck it, I would jsut love a whole album of JUST Koneko Project remixes. That would be fucking a’s.
- Asu e no Brilliant Road (Uchuu no Stellvia)
- Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan (Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan)
When you sound exactly like the person who did the original… well… that says something. Pretty cute bgm anyways. I don’t much like it. But I never cared for the original anyways. A karaoke version would be best.
- Ichigo Complete (Ichigo Marshmallow)
Pretty cute, pretty cute. Unlike track #18 which was just plain annoying. However, unlike track #18, it’s bgm isn’t as listenable.
- Euphoria (ARIA THE NATURAL)
CAMRY pulls through. This is really great because I really didn’t like the original of this but the bgm and the vocals are just sublime. What a great way to finish a great album. The repetitive beats are really trippy they sort of make me tired for some reason.
Fang’s Rating: 9/10 (Can there please by Soul Eater remixes next tiem?)
