Saki Zenkoku-hen – Kiyosumi & Himematsu Tape 咲-Saki-全国編 清澄高校&姫松高校 マスキングテープ

I took these pictures hastily when I first opened these in November and I have been meaning about writing about them since then. I think if I am able to stick with this, my latest endeavor to save this blog from it’s slow decline into nothingness, then pictures going forward will be much better.

I love stationary. I love hoarding notebooks and pens and stickers and most recently, tape! I love washi tape and fancy masking tape. Combining anime chara goods and stationary is just the rightest thing in the world.

So, with that said: let’s look at this cute Saki tape I bought before.

Fang-tan’s Top 10: Undertale Tracks

Undertale

I don’t post about games often but I especially don’t post about western games a lot. Like, pretty much never. However, this game was pretty good and had Toby Fox has outdone himself with a fantastic soundtrack so let’s get this out of my system so I can finally stop talking about Undertale listening to this soundtrack. I meant to post this when I first played the game weeks and weeks ago but hey. I’m a very busy person.

Of course, spoilers ahead. Just go play the game if you haven’t yet. Get it over with. Bite the bullet.

Merry Christmas Without You

source

November was the first time in eight years that I actually didn’t post a single thing. Not because I didn’t want to though! There were things I would have liked to write about, I simply didn’t have time. With NaNo and rushing to move by December 1st, I was a very busy person.

Though I did, inexplicably, find time to update the Kancolle Character Sorter

Anyways, though I’m sure nobody is really worried or anything, this is just me assuring everyone and mostly myself that December will go back to normal. In fact, December usually has the highest amount of posts because of year end and secret santa and everything. So please look forward to more Hot and Fresh Content soon.

Loli Salad’s (Belated) 8th Birthday

[source]

As the tradition dictates I must, I have of course forgotten all about Loli Salad’s birthday again. But can you blame me? I didn’t really contribute much last month. I was too busy with working and Tales of Xillia and generally having a busy life.

But I will aknoledge this momentous occasion again, even if I’m quite late. Loli Salad is now as old as Hakase from Nichijou. Turns out there aren’t many eight year old characters.

Anywho, I’ve got lots of stuff lined up so hopefully things pick up around here. Next year I’ll be going to Japan for a month (and I’ll already be back by this time) so next summer I’ll hopefully be able to detail my trip here. So here’s to another year and all the great stuff it probably holds.

12 Days of Anime: #10 – Saying Hi to Old Friends

Cure Heart

Cure Peach

While Happiness Charge might not have been my favourite thing in the world, the first 33ish episodes all had something very special to them. To celebrate the series 10th anniversary, they had all the Cures from past series appear with original voice actors and new animation to say a line or two as the opening started.

It was so exciting waiting to see if it would be a favourite, to see what series it would be from and just remember the good times associated with that character. It was such a treat and I’m glad they did something like that. It would be nice if they continue to do things with the older characters but I guess I’ll just be content that we’re still getting All Star movies after all.

Plus it meant we got to see March play with her hair again.

Legend of Korra S3 Midseason Impressions

First impressions? Was too lazy to do em. So I guess these are midseason? Man the whole ‘airing two episodes every Friday’ thing is hella weird. Does Nick hate this show that badly? Well, not like I blame them…

Well, you know what? So far season three hasn’t… it hasn’t been… it’s not… bad. It’s not great but compared to the past two seasons it sure is. Does it compare to ATLA when it was at it’s best? Nah. Nah son. Of course not. But it could still be worse. It could be as bad as season two.

Spring 2014 Final Impression

(featuring: Akuma no Riddle, Isshuukan Friends, Love Live, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii)

I’ve been real busy moving and with side projects that I didn’t have time to do this right away. And then instead of doing this, I rushed to watch Akuma no Riddle. But for real moving has taken a huge toll on me and I feel like a miserable sack and it’s kind of reflected here, huh. Well enjoy the word vomit.

Mekakucity Actors 1-5 Impressions + Observations

So really this post could have waited but I get so hyped up after each episode (so much that I wait until the day before episode six to post this huh) and notice a bunch of really neat things about the show that I love. I’m glad they’re putting effort into the show even if there are some things I don’t like.

I guess some of this will be stuff I’ve said before and will undoubtedly repeat when I do my final impressions. Still, up to this point there’s been some really cool things happening that have been pretty subtle. So I’ll just go over some of the obvious ones now and when the next few episodes cause me to flip out, maybe they’ll get a post too.

That all being said: there are some big big big spoilers that could potentially ruin the rest of the series for you if you’re new to Kagepro in this post and it’s mostly intended a post for people who have prior knowledge of the series.
